A South Florida business pro is launching his own insurance agency in Boca Raton next week. Palm Beach County native Charlie Shoemaker will open the doors on Brightway, The Shoemaker Family insurance agency this Monday.
The 47-year-old Royal Palm Beach entrepreneur who previously owned and operated companies providing healthcare supplements and life insurance is opening his new agency on North Federal Highway.
“Handling sales and working with the customer has been at the heart of what I do for most of my life,” Shoemaker said. “This is a special opportunity to share my strengths to help protect those right here at home.”
Born and raised in Boynton Beach, the 1994 Atlantic High School alum began his career as a stock trader. The former prep football and baseball standout for the Eagles would later transition to the world of sales for more than 20 years; a move which led Shoemaker to make the decision to begin his own Brightway office serving Palm Beach County.
Coming from a working-class background, Shoemaker knows the importance of hard work and accuracy when it comes to taking care of those who depend on you. His wife, Angela, and his son, Tyler, both work in the educational software industry. “Angela has a head for marketing, though. So, she’ll definitely be putting her skills to work for our family agency, as well,” Shoemaker added.
