Residents in and around Long Island now can experience a better way to buy insurance for their homes, vehicles and much more as Rick Maher opens Brightway, The Sound Agency. The Agency opens on Monday, May 2 and is located at 18 Crescent Drive, Unit 2C in Port Jefferson Station.
“We are thrilled to open our Brightway agency and be part of a system dedicated to our customers and our success as insurance agents,” said Maher. “There are endless possibilities when there is marriage between people, process and procedure, and we look forward to all we will do in the community with Brightway.”
Maher describes himself as a serial entrepreneur, and also owns a business complementary to insurance, Turning Point Human Capital Management, a fractional Human Resources firm. His access to more choice in insurance companies will enable him to offer a well-rounded package of products to new and existing customers.
Maher graduated from Ithaca College in 1993 and married his high school sweetheart, Tara. They have three sons and are avid boaters on the Long Island Sound.
Brightway, The Sound Agency offers customized Home, Flood, Auto, Boat, Condo, Renters, Personal Articles, RV, Motorcycle and Umbrella insurance policies from numerous insurance companies. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST) and Saturday/Sunday by appointment.
Brightway’s corporate office staff provides expertise and support in areas including customer service, technology, accounting, marketing, distribution and business analytics. In addition, Brightway handles carrier relations and appointments, as well as support with personnel hiring, licensing, onboarding, training and retention. The company’s signature after-the-sale service empowers Agency Owners, like Maher, to focus on new business sales and provide customers the personalized service they deserve.
