EDMOND, Okla. (May 10, 2017) — Brightway Insurance will open its second location in Oklahoma next week as veteran business woman and now Brightway Agency Owner, Allison Chaumont, opens Brightway, The Chaumont Agency on Monday, May 15, in Edmond. While new to the Sooner State, Brightway Insurance is the nation’s seventh largest privately held Personal Lines independent insurance agency.
Raised on the east coast of Florida and with horses that she had to get out of harm’s way every time a powerful hurricane threatened, Chaumont understood the importance of insurance at an early age. Her appreciation for proper coverage grew in 2005 when she was living in Louisiana and Hurricane Rita struck and blew the roof off her rental home with rain flooding the entire house and ruining nearly all of her and her husband’s belongings. The Chaumonts, who had married just a month before the powerful storm hit, were fortunate to have renters insurance and used the proceeds to build a new house and their lives together. Now that they live in Oklahoma, she wants to make sure her friends and neighbors have adequate coverage and receive the best support system possible.

Chaumont learned about Brightway and its franchise opportunities through another Brightway Agency Owner. She comes to Brightway with 12 years’ experience as a Certified Public Accountant who helped small business owners improve their bottom line through proper budgeting and management. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., and is a member of the Edmond Chamber of Commerce and Edmond Board of Realtors. She and her husband have been married 12 years and have a son and a dog. She volunteers with the Edmond Women’s Club and is active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Chaumont and her family love spending time together outdoors, hiking, biking and fishing. As a new Brightway Agency Owner, she is eager to help consumers find total protection for their financial assets by making sure they have the best coverage for their homes, cars and much more.
