HARAHAN, LA. — While the Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted nearly every part of our daily lives, Brightway, The Schmidt Family Agency in Harahan remains committed to helping consumers gain peace of mind and get the best coverage at the right price. The insurance agency today announced a new way for Louisianans to reach the local, insurance experts.
“Dial #EASY to reach us. It’s that simple,” said Owner of Brightway, The Schmidt Family Agency, Chris Schmidt, who recently acquired the vanity telephone number from Hashtag Dialing Codes. The code is one of only 15 of its type.
The words insurance and easy seem unrelated, so how does Brightway make insurance easy?
In addition to making it easy to reach them by dialing #EASY from anywhere in the state, Brightway, The Schmidt Family Agency makes insurance easy by:
- Providing a one-stop-shop for your insurance needs. Instead of having to call different agents to handle your Homeowners, Auto and other insurance policies, Brightway handles it all for you. You never have to shop for insurance again. There is no need to get quotes from numerous agents or websites. Once you place your insurance with Brightway, our Agents do the legwork for you, providing you with options
- Offering more choicein insurance brands than other agents and do the shopping for you
- Giving expert counsel to make sure you are properly protected. Our office is located on Hickory Avenue in Harahan
- Responding with same-day quotes at no cost
“I’m ecstatic to offer this new way for consumers to reach us,” said Schmidt who opened the agency in 2016 and who Brightway named the top sales leader in the region earlier this year. “Let’s face it, if you’re a consumer, shopping for insurance isn’t fun. That’s where we come in. We do the work for you so that you get what you need and can go on with your day without worrying about what will happen in the event of a disaster. We make insurance easy.”
Schmidt decided to go into insurance and open his own Brightway agency following a personal experience that left he and wife, Sheree, vulnerable. The two had bought a home and a new insurance policy in 2015. Shortly after their purchase, they travelled out of town and upon their return found a notice from their insurance company that their policy had been canceled on the day they left town. They had received no notification from their agent or from the company aside from a piece of U.S. mail that was weeks old by the time they received it. The Schmidts were fortunate nothing happened to their home during the lapse in coverage, but it made them think, “What if something had happened to our home?”
“It was that day I knew I would become involved in insurance,” Schmidt said. “I vowed my customers would always know what was going on so they would never have to endure an experience of confusion and uncertainty like we had.”
Brightway, The Schmidt Family Agency, with locations in Harahan, Pace, Florida, and Fort Mill, South Carolina, offers customized Home, Condo, Renters, Auto, Flood, RV, Motorcycle, Boat, Umbrella, Life and Business insurance policies from numerous insurance brands including Acadian Managers, Appalachian Underwriters, Bankers, Burns and Wilcox, Dixon Wells, Foremost, Hagerty, Kemper Specialty, Liberty Mutual, National General, Progressive, SageSure, Tapco, Travelers and many more. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (CDT). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, agents are currently working remotely but can be reached by dialing #EASY from your cellphone.
