From an early age, Boca Raton’s Airton Lima has had his eyes focused on a career near the water. Born in Brazil, Lima had childhood aspirations of joining the Marinha do Brazil, the Brazilian Navy, just like his father. However, it would be a life just off the Atlantic Ocean in South Florida awaiting Lima as his family moved to the United States when he was only 10 years old. Monday, the 37-year-old Boca Raton resident will be growing his business footprint off the coast as he opens Brightway, The Lima Family Agency insurance office in Pompano Beach.
Lima and his wife, Kenia, have owned Clean Tech Experts, LLC janitorial services for the past eight years. Beginning next week, the Lima family name expands into the insurance industry as they launch their new venture.
With seven years in the insurance industry on his resume, Lima says he owes most of his drive and determination to his mom, Marilene.
“When we moved to Florida from Brazil, she worked many different jobs helping make ends meet for our family,” Lima added. “I’ve tried to take that same kind of attitude into my career and I couldn’t be prouder.”
A 2004 alum of Boca Raton’s Spanish River High School, Lima earned a General Contractor’s License and worked in the housing industry for the first five years of his career. He also has a Pharmaceutical Sales Certification from Florida International University. Celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this September, Lima and Kenia have one son, Kaleb.
