JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Congratulations to Employee of the Month for July 2021, Kristen Hood!
Hood is a Compliance Specialist. In this role, she works ensures Brightway’s Agents and Customer Service Representatives have the credentials they need to do business. Hood has been with the company nearly two years.
During a virtual ceremony to recognize Hood, Brightway’s Director Of Compliance, LeAnne Martinez, said: “Kristen was nominated for Employee of the Month for the core value of Accountable. To me, being accountable means that someone is responsible for their actions, their behaviors, their performance and their decisions. They take ownership of something and make sure to exceed our expectations.
“Kristen is the daily embodiment of this. You can see it in her commitment to Brightway, to employee morale and just what leads her to that higher performance that she completes and executes every day.
“When Kristen joined the Compliance team, she grabbed on with both hands and she took ownership right away. She didn’t need to be asked to take a process, and she wrote over 25 process documents. She learned how to license a new hire class with over 15 employees. She applied for 25 non-resident licenses within three weeks of joining the Compliance team and knocked it out of the park.
“Kristen has made a huge impact on our daily routine for Compliance, and I can’t wait to see what Kristen’s future is with Brightway because she is surely a shining star. I cannot thank Kristen enough for what she does on a daily basis for Brightway.”
Brightway’s General Counsel, Max Staplin, added, “The one thing that has impressed me most about Kristen is her willingness to try new things that she hasn’t done before. Her willingness to do what she can to resolve issues that are sometimes tricky has been incredibly impressive, so this is very well-deserved, and we are so happy to have on you the team, Kristen.”
Brightway launched the Employee of the Month program in 2020 to give frequent recognition to employees who do fantastic work. The program recognizes two to three employees every month.
Honorees for the distinction receive a gift and a “thank you” message from Brightway’s Executive Leadership.
