For the past 50 years, a name synonymous with the American Dream has been laying a foundation in the business world, both here and abroad. To help keep up with Central Florida’s booming housing market, regional real estate pro Ali Partovi will be adding to the legacy when he opens Brightway, The Partovi Agency insurance office in Lake Mary Monday.

“The American Dream of owning a home can be tough enough. Especially in the Sunshine State where the housing market is as active as it is right now. It seems like everyone is on the move,” Partovi said. “Our move to add Brightway is a business decision that will make things easier for home buyers.” From May to June 2022 alone, the housing scene in Metropolitan Orlando grew 11-percent as more than 5,000 new home listings hit the market in a month’s time.

Spending the past decade leading The Partovi Group at EXP Realty, Partovi made the decision earlier this year to work with Brightway to expand his business. “We currently have the realty portion and a mortgage brokerage already in place. Adding the insurance piece to the puzzle is the final step,” Partovi said.

The first step for the 40-year-old housing pro came in 1989, long before Partovi would ever close his first home sale. Just seven years old, Partovi and his family moved from Iran in 1988 to pursue their own new home in America. However, his dream of success in business has been instilled in him since birth.

From his mother who worked with a luxury imports company in Western Asia to his father who owned construction and service industry companies in Illinois, Partovi has learned first-hand what it takes to achieve industry success.

“When we moved to the U.S., my father made his move to business to survive,” Partovi said. “He was a police officer back home and found that an opportunity in that field at his age would’ve been tough.” That’s when Partovi’s father made the decision to own and operate his own businesses. “His goal was making a home for us, no matter what it took. I guess that’s why the real estate world was such a natural fit for me.”

Earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Partovi graduated Summa Cum Laude from Benedictine University in Illinois. His business partner, Bret Runyan, will help lead the new Brightway office as it officially begins taking customers next week. Runyan and Partovi both have 15 years of experience in the insurance and real estate industries, respectively. “We researched the best way to add a powerful insurance arm to the group,” Partovi added. “Brightway just stood out as a company that worked a lot like me. It’s about the customer. The people always come first. Making their dream my dream, as well.”
